Division 8 Door Knock Update

Overwhelming response justifies moving to the next phase - generating and finalizing a proposal while continuing to gather contact information.

100% of doors have been knocked on.

Of homes contacted, 94% have signed. Signatures have been collected from over 50% of all Division 8 houses.

We are now preparing to come around again to collect signed Consent to Amend forms.

First Petition:

In August 2023, the CRC unilaterally changed the View Guidelines that were in effect since 2016. They:

  • deleted the goal “To preserve the views of a residence, the way they were when the house was Built.”,

  • removed the View Line, and,

  • asserted view blockage is allowed "up to the lowest element".

We see these changes as inconsistent with the protections our covenant is intended to provide.

As Division 8 homeowners, we are requesting our covenant be amended with an open and collaborative process that will incorporate simple and sensible view regulations.

A Consensus is Forming:

Resident max heights defined per covenant prior to construction should be honored, and Views with a qualifying element are framed and protected by the View Line.
